The notebook I keep for every project
One pocket notebook per project, numbered pages, and a rule that nothing gets torn out. Why paper is still the first tool I open, and how it ends up in the repository.
Every project at Switchback Studio gets its own pocket notebook. The pages are numbered, the date goes at the top, and nothing ever gets torn out.
Why paper
A notebook has no tabs and no notifications. When I sketch a screen on paper, I sketch the one screen, not the whole app around it.
Into the repository
At the end of each week I photograph the new pages and add them to the project's repository, in a folder called notes. Two years later, it is the fastest way to answer "why did we do it this way?"
